There were 5.5 million roadside driver and vehicle inspections in 2016 – and 630,028 of them resulted in at least one OOS violation. After an OOS violation, carriers are not allowed to operate the vehicle until the issues are corrected – meaning lost time, productivity and profit. By using GPS tracking solutions, carriers have clear insight into each vehicle’s many moving parts, and they can utilize metrics to track both compliance and vehicle maintenance. These solutions help fleets avoid OOS violations, develop a culture of preventive maintenance and prioritize safety – ensuring they are not just another number in a list of trucking offenses.
