As we are now past 100 days of being in the COVID-19 pandemic, efforts to support our truck drivers remain strong. In this week’s edition of top industry updates and resources, learn about important timely activity from organizations such as the FMCSA, CVSA and ATA. ​CVSA Creates Online Resource of COVID-19 Emergency Declarations

The CVSA has recently consolidated all the recent COVID-19 related emergency declarations into a useful website page that covers activity for the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Visitors of the webpage can filter by location or country authority agency and read specific declaration details. Bookmark this page for your fleet’s reference.​

 

FMCSA Fully Launches Crash Fault Dispute Program for CSA

Has your fleet been recently involved in a crash that you believe was non-preventable? The FMCSA announced this week that it plans to fully launch its Crash Preventability Determination Program. The program will allow carriers to submit crashes that occurred on or after August 1, 2019 to be reviewed. Should a crash be deemed non-preventable, the crash will be removed from the carrier’s CSA score. Learn some of the types of crashes that the FMCSA will review.
