Last week, industry publication Commercial Carrier Journal reported on trucking professionals’ hope of a different regulatory environment for GPS fleet tracking in the upcoming Donald Trump administration and Republican-controlled Congress.

Trucking associations and industry lobbyists see the changeover in Washington as an opportunity for review of current regulations, implementation of rules that are more results-based and data-driven, and a rebuilding of the nation’s transportation infrastructure.

In the words of one industry advocate, “We’re all going to find out if Trump and the Republicans can deliver.”
